The Sky Is Everywhere 2

Thursday (February 14, 2013)

"I have a horrible thought: He only thinks I'm pretty because he never met Bailey, followed by a really terrible, horrible thought: I'm glad he never met her. I shake my head, try to erase my mind." The Sky Is Everywhere, by Jandy Nelson (p.93).

This quote resumes what is going on in the novel. Lennie is dealing with mixed feeling about her sisters death. She still does not accept her sister's death, and she misses her like crazy, but she cannot help liking the feeling that boys actually talk to her now that she's not arround catching everyone's attention and leaving her in the shadows. That obviously makes her feel guilty, and it gets worst when she starts developing feelings for her sister's boyfriend, who she was going to get married to before she dies, as well as she has a crush on the new French speaking student in her school.
